We're back!

I called the nice lady at the Annual Conference office who handles such things to talk about our NAUMS/Scouting Ministries Breakfast at Conference this year. We were too late to get our info into the official Conference packet (somebody at BSU was on vacation when I was trying to make connections); however, she would be glad to put our info on the Conference website. She'd also like to receive our newsletter in order to stay in the loop with what we've got going on. I consider that handsome, and she is my new favoritest church leader.

Interestingly, she was surprised that I managed to get the reservation for the stadium shelters. They'd tried, as a Conference, to make some similar connections and their bureaucrats and the university bureaucrats couldn't make the magic happen. Which simply goes to re-affirm my philosophy that you go straight to the person who can tell you Yes and don't wait in line for somebody else to set up your event for you.

For those who are interested, the Scouters are having a breakfast at the shelters at the football stadium on Friday morning, June 10, at 7:30 a.m. The menu is steak and eggs and Christmas hash. It will be cooked on site by real, live Scouters and it's free. Space is limited, so sign up now.
