Quiet time

It's been a very long day. Mostly good, too, but these intense days wear me out, nevertheless.

First there was worship, with a little larger attendance than we've been having. Good weather definitely helps.

Then there was Sunday School. My confirmation class is planning on going to St. Meinrad Archabbey later this week.

After that, we had the Trustees and Pastor-Parish Relations Committee (a small delegation of each) do the annual Parsonage walk-through, identifying maintenance issues for this year.

Lunch break and dog-walking was followed by a 2:00 pre-marital counseling session.

That was followed immediately by our Venturing Crew meeting. We took down the tower. Had a couple of new people checking us out, which is great.

A parishioner sought me out for some pastoral conversation as the Church Council gathered for their dinner downstairs.

Finished up dinner with the Council, and they had their monthly meeting.

Walked the dog again.

I'm physically tired, mentally worn down, and emotionally drained. Oh well, as Scarlett O'Hara famously noted, Tomorrow is another day.
