Getting ready for the big day

Boy Scout Sunday is tomorrow. Our Venturers raised a tower again this year. I was very pleased at how well they remembered their lashings from last year. With only minimal coaching, they picked up where they left off; I did very little lashing this year. It went very smoothly -- about two hours or so, start to finish.

Meanwhile, the Boy Scouts were inside making pizzas to deliver in time for the Super Bowl. This is their biggest fundraiser of the year, and they make a very high quality product.

Tomorrow, Venturer Brooke will be our liturgist. Scouts Harrison and Zach will be our acolytes and help me serve communion. Scout Ben will offer the prayers. Venturer Jordan is receiving his Bronze Award in Religious Life. Scouters Val and Lloyd are making some interactive displays and treats (do I hear "s'mores?") for the fellowship time after worship.
