A case of the druthers
I must confess that I've always had a secret ambition to teach a Bible as Literature course in High School. I don't know when I'd have the time to do this, and I certainly don't know what school corporation would let me offer it*, but it's always been on my wish list. Oh, well. I'm afraid this one'll have to remain unfulfilled.
*I'd have to have an amazing school board and school administration not to get distracted by all the usual fears of the Bible, and clergy, and religion and so on. And to be completely fair, not many clergy could probably teach the Bible as straight-up Literature, nor do many English teachers have the background to actually teach the Bible as an academic subject. I could do both, though. It'd be cool.
