I don't know when this ad dates from -- surely before Prohibition. But they're not the first to make such a claim. BTW, Guinness makes a non-alcoholic malted energy drink which is enormously popular in West Africa. I bought some at the Asafo Grocery on the northside of Cincy a few years ago to see what it was like. I won't repeat that mistake again.
