The operation was a success, but the patient died

I volunteered to do basketry with the VBS kids next week. To save money, I bought some flat reed. Figured it'd be a snap to come up with a quick, cheap basketry project that the younger kids would find easy to do.

Well, after two nights of crafting, I've got a couple of cool baskets sitting here staring at me, but there is no bloody way that the wee ones are going to be able to manipulate that reed to make them. So I'm going to swallow my pride (again, Lord!) and go buy some more handy dandy kits. If I set up the rods in their bases, the wee ones should be able to finish them with the small round reed.

Damn.
