Sad

Oh, my poor, sweet doggy.

Sassafras went to the vet today to have her eye removed. She had a tumor behind it, probably a result of an injury she got a year or so ago. She'll come home tomorrow.

It seems to me that she was a mere puppy just a while ago. But she was born in 2000, so she's nine now. That's middle-aged for a dog. Time is passing, and I want her to have lots of good years left.

I tell her she's the onliest doggy that I've ever loved.
