Subdued evening

Tired. A bit sad. Want quiet.

It wore me out to go to Columbus today, though I didn't think it would affect me quite so much emotionally. But it's never a good time to say good-bye to family, especially not from your own generation.

I saw quite a number of uniforms, from BDUs to Army and Marine dress to Army dress blues. That was nice. I got to talk with some family I hadn't seen for a long time and meet some family I'd never run across before.

Had a full evening agenda at the church. I'm peopled out. We introverts like people, but too many people in the course of a (long and difficult) day eventually rub our psyches raw.
