An experiment
I have been frustrated with our dead-in-the-water church website for as long as I've been here. So, I've set up an LJ for the congregation. I'm keeping it separate from my own LJ until I see how it goes. We don't have a lot of LJ'ers, but they don't need to do LJ to read (and comment) on the posts over yonder.
I'm going to have to tweak a number of things to make the church LJ look really right. For instance, "bio" as a category doesn't make a lot of sense for an institution's profile page.
The LJ is
efumc. I'd appreciate comments on how to make it better.
I'm also thinking that if this goes well, I could offer this technology to the other (mostly small) churches in our Ministry Cluster, and then we could also do an LJ Community for the Hoosier Hills Cluster.
