So, that's where it is

Okay, Floridians. My meetings will be on Wednesday, May 20, from 1-6 p.m. at the Grande Lakes Orlando. I presume that's a hotel. The next question is, where can I get a cheaper room nearby? Is there a Red Roof Inn or something in the neighborhood?

My plans are probably to fly down Wednesday morning, do my meetings, look for convivial types to go out to eat with, and fly back Thursday morning. I'll be on my own and have no transportation beyond airport shuttles and such. Any ideas?

Update: I found a one-day deal which means I don't have to spend a night away from home. Cheaper and better rest. The only bad thing will be that I can't boogie for hours with my LJ friends down yonder. I could meet someone for an early lunch, or for a quick supper at Grande Lakes or the airport or somewhere in between.

I will arrive at ORL at 9:29 a.m. and depart at 7:47 p.m. Need to allow for processing time at the 'port. Still, if anyone is available for a meal or a drink or something, lemme know!
