One of the reasons that cats are more photogenic than dogs is what we may call "the Heisenhund Principle." In brief, that states that you cannot observe a dog without its reacting to you; i.e., taking a picture of a dog doing something cute inevitably results in the dog stopping what it was doing and trying to sniff the camera or something before you can get the shot set up.

Sassy was being lazy this week, and I managed to get a couple of good shots without her getting up to investigate what I was doing. A little cropping and brightening, and -- Voila! -- a dog doing something cute.

Anyway, here she is, doing what she does best -- snoozing. Click on a pic to enlarge your capacity for admiration.
