A day in the woods

I scuttled over to Wilderstead today to finish up the cabin interior. The inside is now -- so far as I'm concerned -- complete. collinsmom still has to finish wiring the receptacles and fixtures, but that's a technical task. My wiring and paneling is done.

The first pic below shows the loft. The wall ornaments have been up for a while, but I don't think I've shown them before. A nod to International Talk Like a Pirate Day, which is just past.

In other news, the fellow I contracted with to re-configure my creekbed has done his work. The channel has been straightened and deepened, and the banks are again secure. No more undercutting: Yay!

Several small trees had been blown down in the recent storms. Looks like I've got a day of chain-sawing coming up in a month or so.
