Goin' to the chapel

I went out to our Council summer camp to lead vespers this evening. Several of us are taking turns at this over the summer. I wish I could spend the whole summer, not only leading worship, but acting as a chaplain out there.

I did my best. It went well. But it is so little, a mere drop, measured against the ocean of need. My heart aches for every one of those kids. And I can't help thinking of Jesus's saying, "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; pray therefore the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into the harvest."
