Eek!

Well, no wonder I'm having trouble confirming those campsites at the front end of my trip. It's a blasted Bank Holiday over there when I want to climb Scafell Pike.

Pray for my itinerary. I don't want to wind up sleeping in my rental car (besides, I'm not sure that doesn't qualify as vagrancy).

EDIT: Hot ziggety! Finally got the Sunday/Monday stay at Dilston Scout Camp, Hexham, confirmed. Had to call and get hold of a real human being, but it's good.

Now, if my colleague Ian at the Conference Office, whose dad is a Methodist pastor in the Lake District, can figure out how to connect me to a pitch in Cumbria on a Bank Holiday weekend, I'm golden.
