Still to do

Tomorrow is crunch day on church administration. All the remainder of Charge Conference forms, etc., need to be finished. Tomorrow evening, I take my Confirmation Class to All Saints (Antiochian) Orthodox Church for vespers and debriefing over pizza thereafter.

Friday is baking day. Gotta go grocery shopping for church projects. Then, I bake the chocolate cake for a Black Forest Cake (eine echte Schwarzwälderkirschtorte, Ihr wißt) plus make and chill the various fillings (marinated cherries, butter cream frosting, chocolate mousse, whipped cream). Also gotta make a plum pudding (scratch, natch). And then a coupla pumpkin pies. Oh yeah, and the house has got to be cleaned thoroughly, and Sassy's got to get to the vet sometime in here.

Saturday, the choir has its final cantata rehearsal in the morning. collinsmom will be busy with baby-sitting at the church for the Moms-Shopping-Day program after that, while I finish assembling the Black Forest Cake. Then we start ye olde Progressive Dinner at 5:00 p.m. We host the dessert course, for which we have to roll out the heavy-duty goodies. And I need to be ready to accompany carols on the organ.

Sunday is Insanity Squared. Worship + Sunday School + Charge Conference is the morning. Immediately, without intermission, the youth start baking breads for their fund-raiser: banana nut bread; cranberry nut bread; white bread; whole wheat bread.

God, have mercy.
