Sunday miscellany

Church was very good this morning. There were people there and things said that I very much needed. I am more rested today, and I feel more loved.

Keeping myself in good condition -- physically, spiritually, emotionally -- is a major task. As I get older, it takes more and more effort to stay on top of things.

I probably made a mistake to try to do so many things this summer: Trip to Atlanta for business meeting at end of May; Youth mission trip at end of June; backpacking trek in July; vacation coming up in August (just a few days away, now). But they're all important to me. It's the recovery time after each that I need to manage better. So, either I need to do fewer demanding things, or I need more time between them. In the end, it probably comes down to the same thing.

Anyway, I'm going to go spend the night at Wilderstead tonight, for my own R&R.

And BTW, Happy Birthday, that_guy_zach!
