Scrambling for the door, as usual

I'm getting last-minute things done tonight. The youth are leaving right after worship tomorrow morning for White Oak, Tennessee, for a week-long mission trip. I'm leading the parade. I imagine I'll be near a state of nervous prostration by the time I get the show on the road. But that's ministry.

My prayer for tomorrow is that of Sir Jacob Astley, which he offered before the Battle of Edgehill in 1642:
O Lord! thou knowest how busy I must be this day:
if I forget thee, do not thou forget me.

Don't expect I'll be able to post anything or read anything on LJ for the next week.

Excelsior!
