Professional news judgment, you say?

Today, several Anglican Archbishops from Africa refused to take communion -- or even attend a liturgy -- with the Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church. Several LJ folks and other bloggers noted this. Now, Anglicanism has been slowly self-destructing for years now, but still -- bishops don't just diss each other this way, in public and on the record, very often. This is a big deal, not just for those who care about theological stuff; this is also about (conservative) Africans telling (liberal) Americans that their souls are not for rent.

So, what was on the evening news? All Anna-Nicole, all the time.
