Got some more bears recently. Sgt. Teddy I picked up last fall at Pep Boys. He was some kind of promotional deal where the profits went to send kids of servicemen and -women to summer camp. The bundled up bear I got at Office Depot last month. Same kind of deal: buy a bear, provide something for kids. The Scout Bear, I just got. He's from the US Post Office, which means he is 100% profit for the gummint. But that's okay, I love a bear in uniform -- and he's wearing the kind of uniform I wore as a boy (right down to the Community Strip -- though his says "Irving, Texas").
