Life goes on

Made a giant batch of coddle today for Bible study. Plenty left over. collinsmom will be happy (even if the soda bread doesn't last until she gets home).

Sassy and I went to McCormick's Creek S.P. today and hiked along the canyon rim. Forgot to take my camera, but it was beautiful. Saw lots of squirrels. And two red-headed woodpeckers (male & female).

Very warm today. I'm hoping it's this balmy next weekend when I go to Wilderstead to work on the cabin. Meanwhile, the church bazaar is this weekend, and there's lots of stuff to do to get ready for Charge Conference and Advent.

Not following the news right now. I feel like I got kicked in the stomach, and have no desire to listen to endless gloating by the Democrats. I was surprised to see that Rummy resigned. I guess Bush wanted to get his replacement confirmed in the last go-round of this Congress. Me, I got nuthin' but praise for Rumsfeld. He's done a heckuva job. We knew even before 9/11 that he was going to catch all kinds of flak for renovating the Pentagon establishment; well, he did it and it needed to be done.
