Well, so far every day this week has been busier than the one before, and I'm still going. But I'm afraid that if I slip once, I'll go down beneath the pack of hounds and get torn limb from limb.

Tomorrow (which is supposed to be my day off), I've got to talk to somebody about a Saturday memorial service, see people in the hospital I couldn't get to today because I was too busy today dealing with trustees dealing with plumbing at the parsonage, go run around shopping for Sunday's BIG DINNER, and I don't know what all else.

Then Saturday, I have a graveside memorial service to do and have to start cooking for the BIG DINNER. Oh, yeah, and write something coherent for Sunday morning.

Sunday we have Confirmation Class, worship, youth group, and then we start decorating and cooking the BIG DINNER. The Venturers are hosting a give-us-what-you-think-it's-worth dinner for a group called the Knife and Fork Club. This is to raise money for our trip to Great Britain this summer. The menu includes:
Shrimp Toast (Chinese appetizer)
Creme of Potato Soup (authentic German recipe)
Catseye Salad (my own creation -- w/German mustard dressing)
Spiral Dinner Rolls (basically icebox rolls w/o the cinnamon and sugar)
Filet Mignon avec herbes
Baby Bella mushrooms (sauteed with the basting liquor from the meat)
Choice of Dessert: Tiramisu; low-carb Cheesecake; Irish Bread-and-Butter Pudding

Next week is just as busy. Then comes Holy Week. Oy, gevalt.

O Lord! thou knowest how busy I must be this day: if I forget thee, do not thou forget me.
