1 1/2 cups cooked pumpkin*
1 cup rich milk**
1 cup sugar
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp cinnamon
2 eggs
1 tbsp butter***
Combine ingredients. Mix thoroughly. Pour into 9" pie shell. Bake at 425 degrees F for 45 minutes.
If you prefer, you can substitute squash or sweet potatoes for pumpkin.
* Never used canned pumpkin; it's an abomination.
** If using condensed milk, don't use the sweetened variety.
*** REAL butter, if you please.
