Give Pluto a break

Well, it looks like little ol' Pluto may be downgraded from its status as the ninth planet in our solar system (http://www.boston.com/news/science/articles/2006/08/13/plutos_status_attacked/?p1=MEWell_Pos4)

I think that's a shame. I realize that several bodies in our solar system have been found that are as big as Pluto. But I don't like upsetting the symmetry of the neighborhood.

Downgrade Pluto to "minor planet," if you must, along with Ceres and Pallas and the others in the so-called Asteroid Belt. But keep the name prominent. Maybe the trans-Neptunian minor planets could be referred to as Pluto & Co.
