Just an ordinary day in the life of a pastor

I drove to Indy this afternoon to see a parishioner in the IU Med Center, only to find he had been discharged yesterday. Well, privacy BS being what it is, they couldn't tell me whether he had been discharged to HOME or another HOSPITAL, so I toodled on over to Methodist to see if he was there for his other issues. Nope.

So I drove back to Monroe County and dropped in on the Bloomington Hospital. Bingo! He was in Rehab there, but . . . he was in dialysis right then. So I went home. Then I took a nice long nap.

Spent all afternoon touring hospitals, drove 135 miles in this heat, and accomplished basically nothing. Except I now know where my parishioner is, so I ought to be able to see him if I get back over there tomorrow.

All in a day's work.
