April in Southern Indiana means redbuds! And not only are they beautiful, but tasty, too. When the flowers first open, strip them from a branch, pick out any twigs and such, and use to dress up a salad! Yummm. I took this picture today by the side of the road outside the gate at the head of Chantry Lane: the way to Wilderstead.
