Live and learn

The Church Council had some talk about the noise produced by the Coke machine in our church's fellowship hall. The Trustees took up the matter and decided to move the machine. At first, they thought it would go well in a blind hallway just off Rogers Hall; then they thought better of it and decided to make room in a large closet space in a side room. The Venturers subsequently prepared the room to receive the machine. The President of the Trustees rented a hand truck for moving appliances and left it for the Scouters to move this evening.

Well, we tried. Four of us -- and I was one of the smaller ones -- attempted to put the machine in its intended room, only to find that the machine was too wide to go through the room door. So, we thought we would take it to the blind hallway that was its first intended home, but the dropped ceiling in the hallways is lower than the ceiling in Rogers Hall and the machine is too tall to stand up in the hallway. So, we huffed and puffed and put it back in the same place we started out from.

To quote the Animaniacs,
Wheel of morality, turn, turn, turn,
Tell us the lesson that we should learn.
To which the only answer I can come up with is,
