Sic transit gloria mundi

Deanne noted that her computer failed to update the time this morning. (We switched time zones in coming to Kansas.) I immediately started singing, "Does anybody really know what time it is? Does anybody really care about time?"

I suppose we Boomers appear as out of date, as frozen in time, to the young adults and teens of today as our parents (the GIs) did to us when we were young.

Everything's up to date in Kansas City

Deanne and I took Anna to her OB appointment today. I played blocks with Daniel in the waiting room and Deanne got to go back with Anna to talk pregnancy/delivery stuff. Afterwards, we went out to eat at IHOP. Sausage and pancakes are high on Daniel's list of desirables.

Returning to their home, Anna zonked out for a nap on doctor's orders. Deanne spent most of the afternoon entertaining Daniel. I unpacked and arranged books in their library for four hours. Gives a whole new meaning to the name Boxing Day.

After Brian got home, I guided Anna, Brian, and Daniel up to the Cabela's mother ship while Deanne went back to our hotel to rest a bit. Then we all met up at BD's Mongolian Barbecue for dinner. Dessert was back at the house, where Anna and Brian had made a key lime ice cream to go with a key lime cheesecake topped with a key lime curd. Wow.

We've enjoyed seeing all the pictures of snow back home. It's cold here, but no white stuff. Save some for us! We'll be back on Friday.

Why are kids always cute when they're eating?
