camp cook

Just a couple of keepsakes

I collect bears. The mama and baby bear, below, I bought in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, on the Venturers' superactivity. The skillet with the BSA emblem on it was my prize last week for winning the Scoutmasters Cookoff at camp.

Crazy busy

Just about ready to dump this day. I've been working since I got up this morning, and my brain is frazzled.

I've got about two hours of collecting stuff for church camp, about one hour of personal packing, and probably another hour of running around to get done before we gather at 1:00 p.m. to leave. If I get up and at 'em early tomorrow, I'll make it.

Next year, I am going to commit to fewer things. For one thing, I'll probably only go up to Annual Conference for one day. I probably won't go to camp with the Scouts, since I'm leading another Philmont trek. Family Camp and Mission Trip are probably both required. If NAUMS were to have its Annual Meeting in May (with the BSA National Meeting), then I'd be done with NAUMS before summer gets fully under way -- and it will be my last NAUMS Annual Meeting, since my successor will be elected at that meeting.
