Music hath charms to soothe the savage beast

I first attended Scout camp in 1965; in the 45 years since, I’ve heard a lot of songs. We’re still singing most of them. Now and then, though, even the Ol’ Grizzly encounters a new one. This little ditty was sung before we went in to lunch yesterday, to the tune of Elgar’s Pomp and Circumstance,
My turtle swims sideways,
your turtle swims upside-down;
my turtle swims sideways,
and your turtle is DEAD!
(The hand motions to this are cool, too.)

In other news, tonight is the Scoutmaster's Cook-off. I'll be whomping up a batch of St. Davy's Trifecta for it. It combines three of my favorite foods: bacon, asparagus, and leeks.
