15 authors

The Rules: Fifteen authors (poets and artists included) who've influenced you and that will always stick with you. List the first fifteen you can recall in no more than fifteen minutes. Tag 10 to 15 (or more) of your friends, too, including me,because I'm interested in seeing what authors my friends choose. (To do this, go to your Notes tab on your profile page, paste rules in a new note, cast your fifteen picks, and tag people in the note.)

2. C.S. Lewis
3. G.K. Chesterton
4. Tom Shippey
5. Dorothy Sayers
6. Charles Williams

big hairy deal

Does this mean you're going to put me back in the Home?

My body is stiff and sore (delayed reaction to last weekend's physical labor), and my brain is like sludge. I'm spending the day doing mostly office work and home chores, gathering strength for the Christmas rush.

Deanne was also wooly-brained this morning. She was all dressed up, heading for a job interview in Terre Haute. It turned twelve noon, and she said, "they'll be starting dinner," meaning the Wednesday Bible study. I said to her, "it's Tuesday." And then I hard to argue some to convince her. Her interview is tomorrow, not today.

I don't know which of us is worse these days. I guess we prop each other up.

I foresee nuthin' but trouble

This will be Hera and Lightning's first Christmas. Training them not to climb the tree is the first order of business. Zach put it up today, but as yet there are no decorations on it, until we've gotten the kitties used to it.
