It's sad, really

I think I'm about ready to give up on the christianity community. There are very few posts there that seem to stir my interest. And when I do weigh in on something or other, half the time trolls and argumentative types dominate the discussion.

I've been looking around for other communities which reflect my interest in a general purpose christian meeting place. I don't seem to find any. I've looked for other communities which zero in on some of my personal passions (church history, for instance), and I don't find much there. I don't know what to do.

Well, it costs nothing to stay in for a while longer. After all, I don't have to rise to the bait. Maybe I'll find something better somewhere.

A handy little thing to have

I composed this little item many years ago when I was directing a Boy Scout summer camp. As I head off on retreat this weekend as Spiritual Director of a Girls Chrysalis, I plan on taking several sheets of these babies with me. Now, if I could only get them printed on Post-It notepads!

(Please note: these are for use with the leaders and community members who want to gripe or who can't take responsibility or who otherwise want to distract me from my purpose, not with the girls themselves.)
