Hmmm . . . all my galleries are off-line right now. Apparently, LJ's move of servers to Frisco or something is screwing up userpics and affecting scrapbook photos. I'm hoping that all of this is restored in a day or two. I'm also hoping that I don't have to re-load the pics I've embedded in various posts. Meanwhile, it bugs me that friends can't view my galleries. Nikki was looking for the one of her trying to touch the tip of her nose with her tongue, too.

Patience.

Njoo! Karibuni sana!
Well, we had our first meeting for kids interested in going to Tanzania next summer. Three girls and one boy attended; there might be others interested. I am encouraged that we are kicking the can down the street.

It's funny. When I took the Scouts to Tanzania in 2001, I was more aware of God's personal direction than with any other event I have ever led. Problems melted away, issues resolved themselves, money came out of nowhere. It was beyond obvious that we were not in charge of this event: God wanted it done, and had his own ideas about what it should look like. It was an amazing experience.

This is little like that other. I don't see God's hand very often. Things haven't come together all neatly. "Dark and doubtful" describes my outlook over everything. Yet we keep moving on to the next stage. So I believe God is with us.

I have given over my worries into his hands. If he wants this trip to go, he'll see that what we need is there. If he were not to want it to go, I think that would become obvious pretty soon, too. My job is to slog through whatever it takes to bring it off. I mean, he did it all for me once; I shouldn't have to rely on dazzlements this time.

So, it's on to the next thing. God prosper the work.
