A quick word from "Sunny" England
I am posting this from an internet cafe in Bowness-on-Windermere,Cumbria, UK. We've had many adventures. Some were great, some were aggravating. Driving on the left is a hoot; we've had two flat tires from our tendency to drift to the left and hit curbs and rocks. John Connell had a tire eaten by the Loch Ness monster; today, the ghosts of Hardknott Castle (an old Roman fort in Cumbria) took one of mine.
We failed to reach the peak of Ben Nevis. Sleet and high winds drove us back, but we got 3/4 of the way up. It's been a rainy mess ever since we got here. We punted on Scafell Pike today (pouring all morning), but we have rescheduled for tomorrow. It's supposed to be sunnier. Then it's on to Wales.
We did laundry today. I've just been schmoozing the local Methodist folk at a women's garden party (held indoors, due to rain). I've seen enough sheep to last me the rest of my life. Everybody is healthy and happy and getting along. I've been too tired to miss collinsmom
too much. Or Sassy. But I love you. Keep us in your prayers.
