Boys overboard
It was a quiet morning. We were all tired. I did a small mountain of laundry. James helped me identify whose duds were whose. I wondered why James had more underwear than Daniel to fold, but then I remembered than James is eight and Daniel is eleven, and ceased to fret over it. There are times when changing (or wearing) underwear is too much for a feller to fuss with.
After lunch, I took the boys to McCormick's Creek State Park. We swam in the pool for an hour and a half or so. Both boys were very nervous about the water, but they kept pushing themselves. Both are much more comfortable now. Soon, they'll be able to follow instructions about putting their faces in the water, etc.
They didn't want to leave, but I didn't want to burn them up with the sun. I got them out and we went over to the Nature Center for a bit. Then to the gift shop at Canyon Inn to buy a few souvenirs (They had Stücknageln!). We visited the Falls overlook, and James starting whining about wanting to go wade in the creek. I promised them we'd come back tomorrow and go wading -- and swimming again.
They were both worn out, Daniel especially so.

They're recruiting them younger all the time

Because too much fun is never enough.
