Space Cadets

The Wapehani District Camporee had an astronomy theme. We spent two nights stargazing with some mighty fine telescopes. I saw Saturn with its rings and two of its moons. I saw all four of the Galilean moons of Jupiter. And Mars, of course. There were other fun events, too. Anna and the grandcubs camped with me beside my old Scout troop from E-ville. We made a jack o'lantern for our campsite. And this morning, I led the chapel service, bringing a message from Psalm 19.

And herewith, the pix.

I allowed both grandcubs hammock privileges, which I have extended to very few others. I must be getting soft in my old age.

We didn't bring a Pack flag, but we managed to identify ourselves in a unique manner.
