Electrifying news

REMC came out to Wilderstead and set poles for my electrical service -- finally. Now, I just need to get the electrician out there to pull wire and hook up my cabin, then the building inspector . . . Electrons move at nearly the speed of light, but the people who make the magic happen don't. This has taken way too much time and cost way too much money, but it's finally happening.

I was going to start this post with a complicated reference to St. Simeon Stylites, who ought to be the patron saint of REMC. He was the first of the pole-sitting saints. Spent 37 years living on top of a pillar near Aleppo. This is social distancing with a vengeance.
