Prepared for anything

Our happy Crew went down to the Fire Station this afternoon and did our periodic CPR renewal. Eight of us (youth T.J., Zach, Abby, Harrison; adults Art, Deanne, Julie, Kara) were put through our paces by Lt. Clouse. We renewed our certification in First Aid, as well as Adult/Child/Infant CPR + AED. Copies of our cards will be given to Laurie S., who coordinates EFUMC's AED program.

EMT humor: Lt. Clouse said that occasionally the dispatcher will say to him on a run that the victim is "unconscious but breathing." He said it always struck him funny: people don't breathe through their butts. I dunno, I said. I've heard an awful lot of Unconscious Butt Breathing at night in camp. Fingers were pointed in all kinds of directions, and we moved on to the next topic.
