He thinks my laptop case is a kitty bed, just for him.
Waiting for Mommy to come home.
Meanwhile, I'm in the middle of my vacation. I spent three days out in the holler, digging, and I have another trip coming up this weekend. No time for anything serious in a post. Just something to lighten your day: cats.
A note of praise: last January, we had resigned ourselves to having Hera put to sleep. She was wasting away in a pitiful way, and we thought her cancer would doom her to a painful end. It was time for mercy. When the time actually came, though, we decided to wait another week or two, since she didn't seem to be in much pain, and was not withdrawn or anything -- she was still loving and interested in things.
Well, we changed her diet, and she began to gain weight. She stopped throwing up, and we discontinued one of her meds. She became playful and active again. She is now quite the rounded, matronly figure. Either she didn't have cancer after all, or it's in remission; in any case, her spontaneous recovery is nothing less than miraculous. We give thanks to God for his mercy and we delight in her company.
Lightning also liked the new diet. He looks like a furry rugby ball these days. In fact, we're talking about cutting down their feeding a bit.
