Here's a Throwback Thursday pic of Deanne in full pack on the trail at Cumberland Gap. We were passing through an old moonshiner village, strategically situated for ease of escape on the State line between Kentucky and Virginia.

This mini-trek was our shakedown that year before tackling Yellowstone National Park. Deanne had just had her hip replaced the year before and was getting back in shape for backpacking.

In case you didn't know, I have an awesome wife.
