Tidings of comfort and joy

Finished working up my preaching notes for the morning. Only after they were done did I notice that I have quotes from Tolkien's "On Fairy-Stories," Macbeth, and the Venerable Bede. We're singing "God rest ye merry, gentlemen," too.

My mind moves in the English church and literary traditions, and never more so than at Christmas. Wæs hal!
