Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat

Well, we lit the first Advent candle in worship today. The journey has begun. I'm looking forward to happy reunions, lots of goodies, some good parties, and getting over being weak and tired all the time.

ragamuffin33ad was in worship today to hear that_guy_zach preach. Welcome, stranger!

I'm definitely thinking of plum pudding this Yule (haven't made it in years) -- with a flaming brandy sauce!

A couple of middle school boys from Emmanuel Lutheran came by yesterday selling cookie dough to raise money for their youth group. collinsmom couldn't see what use there was in buying a roll of white chocolate macadamia nut cookie dough -- though I think stryck may be able to explain it to her when she comes.

Got the Christmas cards ready for mailing tomorrow. We've been cleaning and straightening the house. Like the song in Godspell puts it, You've got to be pretty in the City of God. Yeah!
