I've been getting a physical for Boy Scout summer camp or for high adventure almost every year for at least thirty years now. My file of old physicals furnishes a pretty good health history on me. Which is why I get impatient with the Conference nagging me about getting a Health Screening done. My health is more than adequately screened, I assure you. I still remember one such screening where they told me (the guy who goes hiking year-round and backpacking in the mountains) that I should walk more.
Still, however good the numbers are, nothing can obscure the fact that age is taking its toll.
I went to see my doctor for my annual medical exam;
Standing there in the buff, when suddenly he said, "Man!"
I said, "What is it, doc, some fatal disease? I got to know the score."
He said, "No, you just don't look good naked anymore."
