When I was a Conference Scouting Coordinator and had occasional dealings with the General Commission on United Methodist Men, I used to say, sotto voce, that while I'm sure they know something about Men's ministry, they sure don't know much about Scouting ministry. After four years as President of NAUMS, sitting on the Board of Directors of GCUMM, I realized that they don't know much about Men's ministry, either.
