All hail Leviathan

The Obama Administration has announced that the employer mandate in Obamacare which is due to begin January 1 of next year will be delayed a year to January, 2015. A trio of observations, not unique to me:

1) This is a cynical move to delay the next step in the Awfulness until after the 2014 mid-term elections. The Administration has only contempt for voters' intelligence, and who can blame them?

2) However, the Awfulness is still coming, and more companies are going to start doing what they have to to protect themselves, which is bad news for those looking for employment. So those who voted for Obama and his minions in the hope that the monster would eat them last will still get eaten.

3) Obama doesn't have the authority to simply announce that a properly enacted statute won't come into effect when the law says it does, and in doing so he displays his essentially lawless character. The rule of law is to be replaced by the rule of Those Who Know Better, and we are reduced to the status of subjects instead of citizens.
