Three chords and an attitude is all you need, they say

Bought a new capo today. I lost my old one, a simple bar with an elastic band. My new one is the alligator kind, designed to bite down on the guitar neck. The music store folks were surprised that I was content with my old one. This one is easier to reposition, they explained, and it'll last much longer.

"I've had my old one since [about] 1980," I said. Whereat they boggled.

Now to try this out.
