Zoom, zoom

At our upcoming Council Camporee, the Scouts, Venturers, and Cubs will race life-sized Pinewood Derby cars that they are building. Our happy Crew has had their parts cut to size and prepped (thanks, Everett!) and are ready to start assembly. I was laying out the pieces this morning to see what the final structure was going to look like (see pic).

Walt H. arrived for noon Bible study, and stood in the doorway of my classroom, staring at the car-to-be. I walked up to him, and he asked me, "Is that some kind of torture device, Art?"

"Yeah, pretty much," I replied.

Our Venturers are going to push each other in this thing around a track at the Jackson County Fairgrounds on October 27. More pix to come. Stay tuned.
