Make and Mend Day

I finally got around to some basic clothing repair this afternoon. I had four pairs of shorts that needed patching, or sewing up of rips, or replacing of buttons or applying velcro. All are now done. One of my tennies had begun to separate at the toe and the soles of my sandals were coming off, so out came the Shoo Goo.

I'm so glad my mommy taught me how to do basic sewing. And I'm glad the lessons in frugality they tried so long and fruitlessly to teach me have finally taken hold.
