A perfect evening

It was a small gathering in the holler, but a great one. caoimhinolorica and wife Jessi came down from Indy to join me, collinsmom and that_guy_zach. We built a nice fire, then proceeded to sit around it and talk. And eat. And drink. Phred couldn't join us, what with church responsibilities and all (a shame, really).

Zach and I finished up the evening around 11:30. I was considering camping out (it was a perfect night for it), but decided that I preferred to sleep in my own bed rather than spend the night alone in the woods. Not that spending the night alone in the woods bothers me -- I just think of camping as mostly a social activity, and I'd had the best of the social-ness already.

Looking ahead to Christmas vacation, I'm thinking we need to have a winter fun cookout at Wildstead, whenever we can get family and friends together for it. I think this'll be the first year in I don't know how long that I have nothing definite church- or venturing-wise that I'm trying to cram into that vacation, so it'll be just for us, and for fun. Kevin & Jessi will be in Ireland, but I'm waiting to find out what plans stryck and anher and siege might have.
