Come, let us join our friends above

collinsmom and that_guy_zach joined me for a soldering party this morning. After four hours of work, our Herald Angel has been joined solidly (at least on one side).

This is the stained glass window of a Nativity angel we're talkin' 'bout here, which my Sunday School class has been laboring on for five months. We'll flip it over in a couple days and solder the other side. Then we're ready to take it to the glass shop and put the reinforcing bar on the back and the border on all 'round. Which leaves only the painting of facial features and the text of the scroll in the angel's hand . . . And then we're DONE. (Hallelujah!)

I'm looking at having the class present and dedicate the window in worship on October 30. And I'll be sure to put some pix in a new gallery when it's all finished and ready to install.

I'm very proud of our kids (6th & 7th graders).
