Time to go home

After our running around today, Daniel zonked out for a good long nap. So did Grandbear. When we all woke up, Anna and I fetched in barbecue (yum). We chit-chatted for a while, watched some streaming video, and I read several books with Daniel and we played. But by 7:30 or so, he was obviously tired, and so were we all. Anna has to go back to work tomorrow, Brian has to go back to school, and I've got to get up early and fly home. So we said our good-byes and I hauled myself back up to the park. Right now, the stars are out, Venus is pouring fire across the sky, and I'm sitting here quietly on the verandah, posting this. Time for beddy-bye soon.

I've enjoyed my trip. Daniel has warmed up to me again quite nicely. Here's hoping that before too long, Daddy will be be finding a job closer to Grandbear, and we can spend more time together.

Note that even at 21 months, Daniel clutches his technology. Child of two geeks that he is, he comes by it honestly.
